    Newborn Care Specialist
    Provides Overnight Care & Sleep Support

    Sara has been working as a NCS since 2021 and was trained by Katie through our NLN training program. She has her master’s degree in early intervention special education and has extensive experience working with children ages 0-3. Her prior work experience includes working as an early childhood special educator and a live-in nanny for a family in Paris. She holds multiple certifications in early childhood development and is by far our leading expert on up-to-date education. Sara is also infant CPR/First Aid certified.

    Newborn Care Specialist
    Provides Overnight Care & Sleep Support

    Sara has been a NCS for the last 5 years. She was trained by Katie and has partnered to help support over 15 families with NLN. She is trained in sleep coaching as well as sleep training. Sara has her master's degree in education with her undergraduate degree in psychology and child and family studies. She is a very caring person who really enjoys helping new parents figure out the first few months after bringing home baby. Sara is also infant CPR/First Aid certified.

    Newborn Care Specialist
    Provides Overnight Care

    Allison has been a NCS for over five years and was independently certified and trained before coming to work with NLN. She has helped several families by providing overnight support in the Greater Portland area. Allison is especially great at troubleshooting irregular sleeping habits and helping to ensure parents are getting enough rest. Allison was a nanny prior to an NCS and is also a licensed clinician who helps moms dealing with postpartum mental health issues. She is infant CPR/First Aid certified.

    Newborn Care Specialist
    Provides Overnight Care & Daytime Support

    Casey has worked in childcare for over 10 years and is a member of DONA as a Postpartum Doula seeking certification in 2025. She also recently completed her training to become a Newborn Care Specialist under the guidance of Katie. Throughout her training, Casey has had the privilege of supporting several families during the transformative fourth trimester, with a special focus on helping them establish routines, get the rest they need, and nurture strong bonding with their newborns. With a compassionate and gentle approach, Casey strives to create a calm, supportive environment for families in the critical first months, ensuring they feel empowered and set up for long-term success. Casey is also infant CPR/First Aid certified.

    Newborn Care Specialist
    Provides Overnight and Sleep Support

    Cayla has been working in childcare for 12 years as a nanny, Montessori assistant preschool teacher, and elementary/middle school tutor. She received a bachelor's degree from Tulane University in Spanish and Political Science but has found that being a compassionate, gentle childcare provider is her true passion. Cayla has formal training as a birth doula and will receive full certification after attending three births. Cayla recently completed her Newborn Care Specialist certification and is eager to start helping families with overnight care. She has helped family, friends, and her current employer navigate pregnancy and postpartum and looks forward to joining your family's journey with the fourth trimester.

    Jeni is a DONA Certified Labor and Postpartum Doula, and a Certified Lactation Counselor. Prior to becoming a doula, Jeni was an infant nanny and Certified Family Visitor. She has extensive training in evidence-based infant care, early childhood development, parent-child interaction, transitions and routines, and family well-being. Jeni is passionate about validating, normalizing, empowering, and supporting the entire family. She is CPR/First Aid Certified.

    Jessica has been working as a Referral Partner with North Light Newborns for a few years and has helped several families navigate the fourth trimester. She is a ProDoula Certified Labor, Postpartum and Infant Care Doula. During the past 20 years, she has worked as a labor coach, CNA, Home Health caregiver and Daytime/Overnight Doula. She loves helping parents bring new life into this world and is passionate about empowering and educating parents to have supported birth and postpartum experiences.  Jessica is certified in Basic Life Support and is working toward her Lactation Counselor Certificate and Medical Assistant Certificate. She is infant CPR/First Aid Certified.

    Abbie is a Postpartum Doula, holistic natural foods chef and perinatal herbalist. Abbie has been cooking professionally for over 12 years, offering health supportive and nutritious meals to families and individuals. After the birth of her daughter, Abbie felt passionate about becoming a Postpartum Doula to help support others during the fourth trimester. She attended a DONA certified program and is CPR/First aid certified. Abbie brings her unique background to her doula work, as she is passionate about using food and herbal elements as a tool to heal during the postpartum period.

    Postpartum Doula and Stylist
    Provides Daytime Support

    Ashley is a Postpartum Doula and Stylist. Whether she is working with a new parent or building a wardrobe with a client, her goal is the same - to allow you to feel like the person you are in this moment. She says her “work is not to change anything about you but to help you feel most like yourself.” Ashley was trained by DONA International in 2019. She is passionate about keeping up her education and recently completed the Whole Body Pregnancy Postpartum Doula Training. Ashley is infant CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
